Luisa Tora’s 1998 large-scale painting, “These Boots Were Made For Walking” was the inspiration for designer Nicole Lim in creating the DIASPORADIC679 crest for the exhibition’s publication. Based on the Fiji passport design, the new crest replaces the Fiji Islands Coat of Arms. In an ideal world, the front over of the exhibition publication would be thick ‘Fiji blue’ card with the text and crest embossed in gold. In our budget conscious world, it will be… the next best thing!
