Otahuhu

Otahuhu, South Auckland

We love Otahuhu.

The South Auckland suburb of Otahuhu is the site for a unique Fiji Day exhibition called diaspordic679 due to take place from 17-25 October 2011.

Otahuhu is the home of the Auckland Fiji Community headquaters and a significant Fijian and Indo-Fijian community. It is also home to three of the four New Zealand-based artists involved in diasporadic679.

From the Samoan churches to the weekly Tongan markets, Indian sweet stores, sari shops and clothing in XXXXXXXL, Otahuhu is a rich cultural and commercial centre with an abundance of shops and services catering to a very multicultural community.
